Sofía Garza-Barba is a Mexican-American genre-bending multidisciplinary writer and director based in L.A. Her work is often described as fantastic, whimsical, and highly art driven. She has directed music videos for artists like Natalia Lafourcade and Kinky, and worked with clients like Nickelodeon, Universal, CryptTV, and Sony Music. Her work has been presented in reputable festivals like SITGES, Urbanworld and Cinequest. She's a 2018 Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative mentee, a Fellow Director for 2019 DGA's program CDDP, HBO's 2021 Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today, and a 2021 SANFIC-Morbido Lab participant and winner. She is currently in development for her first feature called Santos Remedios.
