Spark Animation Grant
The LXiA Spark Animation Grant is designed to uplift Latinx animation filmmakers. With the sponsorship and support of Netflix, LXiA offers a $10,000 USD grant towards the production of an original animated short film. As part of the program, the films have a special screening at LALIFF.
The winners of the inaugural year of the grant are:

Cecilia is a Filipina/Mexican-American animator and motion graphics designer based in Los Angeles. Her 2D animated short film “Back To Normal” explores themes of mental health during the pandemic.
